Stone City + Rio Claro Valley.

On the borders of Chapada dos Guimarães National Park, there is a City of Stones, one of the most fantastic places in all this region of natural and exuberant relief.

This is one of the most requested tours, considered by many tourists to be the “most beautiful viewpoint in Chapada”. There is a light and peaceful walk through the cerrado with access to one of the postcards of our land: the top of the walls with the red escarpments highlighted on the horizon and sculpted by time, in addition to formations similar to ancient ruins , but created by the forces of nature.

These are impressive walls that reach 300 meters in height and form immense differences in the landscape in relation to the valley seen. Along the trail, different viewpoints make the scenery gain new contours.

You can see the Valley with its riparian forest, perceive the paths and their importance in the midst of different aspects of a single cerrado, seen from above we are already talking from Vale do Rio Claro, location of the next stop on the tour.

Arriving at Vale do Rio Claro the first stop is at the famous “Crista de Galo”, to contemplate all the beauty of the walls in a panoramic angle of 360 °. After that comes a delicious bath in the natural pool of “Poço das Antas”, which takes its name from the rare sighting of tapirs in the place.
We end this delightful tour with a float in Poço Verde full of adventure among branches, small fish and other inhabitants of nature. We went down the Rio Claro for a few meters with an average duration of 10min.
